Nicole Crawford
Nicole didn’t fully realize the importance of fitness and strength until her first pregnancy. Like many moms, Nicole had a lot of questions about exercise during pregnancy, and the more she learned, the more she realized the need for an active lifestyle, particularly during pregnancy.
Nicole completed her certification with the AFPA as a Pre- and Post-Natal fitness specialist in 2010. She is passionate about fitness during pregnancy for all women, and volunteers at crisis pregnancy centers throughout her home town of Phoenix to offer support and personal training to pregnant women who are alone or living on the streets. She is also completing the qualifications to become a certified birth doula.
Nicole has her Masters degree in philosophy from the University of Leuven, Belgium, where she wrote her thesis on the ancient Greek characterization of nature and movement. She loves running, kettlebells, and yoga. The primary obstacles to her own fitness are her love for books, homebrewed beer, and good food.
