Eric “Fitman” Brown is a NASM certified performance and physique coach, a two-time Men’s Health Next Top Trainer Finalist, and a former NCAA collegiate sprinter. He is also the founder of Fitman Performance Training, a strength and conditioning business in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Eric’s love for strength and conditioning has been a lifelong passion. He became certified as a personal trainer in 2009 and started his business in 2010. Aside from competing in college as a sprinter, Eric has also competed and placed in natural bodybuilding and powerlifting with the aim of gaining more knowledge about how different training methodologies affect and build the body.
Eric recently qualified for the elite eight in the Men’s Health Next Top Trainer Competition in 2014 and 2015. This competition is open to every trainer in the country, and over 500 fitness professionals entered over a two-year period. Eric finished in seventh place in 2014 and in fourth place in 2015.
While Eric’s passion is developing programs to prepare athletes to perform at a high level, he also enjoys helping trainees elevate their mindset to boost performance and their outlook on life.
