John is a serious nerd. The kind of person who just can’t rest until he finds the answer to his question. He’s also the kind of nerd to likes working out so much he got a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science and a load of certifications and lives under a pile of research journals.
John also tends to look at his body as his own personal laboratory to try out his often ridiculous ideas like using one marathon to train for another marathon and following that with a 14,000-foot mountain climb. It’s all in the name of science (and fun) though, and he uses his experience and passion for fitness to train Navy personnel on powerlifting, CrossFit, endurance training, weight loss, performance nutrition, and everything in between.
