Open Mat - Gi - We did a warm up and I rolled 7 minute rounds with 3-4 guys. Still having cardio issues.

Aug 27

MMA - 1 hour - we sparred the whole class. if someone landed 2 or more shots in a row, you had to do burpees. I did a lot of burpees and ran laps to recover when I gassed out to try and help my cardio

BJJ - 1.5 hours - no gi - we did arm control for takedowns, takedown counters and a choke. I rolled 4 six minute rounds.

MMA 1 hour - we did clinch work then rolled 2 5 minute rounds. I rolled with a female white belt. Women are much different to roll with than men.

BJJ - Gi - 2 hours

We did arm drag drills then X Guard passing and then I practised my flying armbars with a really big guy. Afterwards I rolled with him twice, then I rolled with 2 other blue belts for 7 minutes each.

RE: Sally's Training Log
MMA - 1 hour - We did ground & pound. I was in my teacher's guard for two rounds, then I was with the other girl in my class for 3 rounds, with her in my guard. At first everything was fine but in the last round, she got really aggressive with her submission escapes and was punching me and slamming me so while I tried to make sure my armbar stuck, I pushed my hips up a bit too fast and hurt her arm. I feel really bad but I was just trying to defend myself and get out of a bad spot.

BJJ - no gi - 2 hours. My hand is still not healed enough to hit hard or hold pads for our no gi warm up, so I sparred with a guy for 3-4 rounds. Afterwards, we learned the hook pass and the hook pass to x-guard with a get up. I rolled for 7 minutes each with two purple belts, a black belt and I was in a group of three with a blue belt and a purple belt.

Today was my first time using Nutribolics Waxy Maize with my Aminocore intraworkout drink and it really helped my endurance and kept me from feeling super hungry throughout the whole 3 hours. Usually by the end of class it's been 5 hours since I ate so I'm dying of starvation but today was really good. I also picked up some Bio-X protein for post-workout and it's still awesome. I'm glad I finally finished the tub of Isobolic I had; it was awful.
