Welcome to our new video series, Virtuosity, featuring gymnastics expert Coach Dusty Hyland. Virtuosity, in gymnastics, means going above and beyond - exceptional movement, performance, and position. Today's video is the fifth in a series that will build you up to the muscle-up.

 

This week the focus is the ring pull up. We break down the pull into progressions so you can work on it no matter where you are in your muscle up practice. First, we explain the false grip, which is necessary for success. Then we go over the "toenail muscle up" and the false grip ring row, both of which will help you build skills for the ring pull up and the muscle up.
