Dan Treccia is a retired professional baseball outfielder who spent three years competing in the American Association with the Grand Prairie Airhogs and Sioux Falls Canaries and in Canada’s independent Intercounty Baseball League. He overcame four orthopedic surgeries in his last two years of college at Benedictine University to make it against the odds to professional baseball.
Dan has been researching, designing, and implementing his strength, speed, and agility programs on himself and clientele since 2012. He believes in a strong foundation of strength and conditioning for any athlete in any sport. Dan has coached high school baseball in Illinois and collegiately over the summer in Canada.
At the age of 27, Dan is making the transition to professional CrossFit and will look to compete in 2016 in his first CrossFit Games Open.
Currently, Dan is working on his NSCA C.S.C.S. and NASM-C.P.T. in an effort to further distinguish himself as a professional trainer. Dan has written training programs for individuals from high school, collegiate, and professional ranks and wrote an entire in-season program for Southwest Minnesota State pitchers in 2014. Dan specializes in improving strength, speed, agility, mobility, hitting bat speed, and throwing velocity.
