Welcome to season three of Virtuosity, featuring gymnastics experts and coaches Dusty Hyland and Tina Angelotti. Virtuosity, in gymnastics, means going above and beyond - exceptional movement, performance, and position.
Season three is all about the bent arm press to handstand and this week, Dusty covers how to move from your tuck-sit or L-sit position to a tuck up. This will take you into a postion from where you will soon learn to break at the elbow and get upside down. This is a counterbalance movement that will require a base amount of strength, coordination, and a little spatial awareness. But don't worry if you are missing any of these things! The drills Dusty provides will help you to build them up.
