2 Ways to Pivot Out From an Attack in Muay Thai (Video)

Today I'm going to be showing you two ways to pivot out from your opponents attack.

 

  1. Utilizing the hook. I throw my left hook and pivot out to my left foot. As the hook lands, I pivot out to the side, and throw a right roundhouse kick.
  2. Utilizing the cross. On the other side you can do the same thing. I use either the right cross or the right hook. I throw my cross, step out, switch stance, and throw a left roundhouse kick.

 

 

Once you have those combinations down you can add a little more to them. For #1 you can include a body hook with the left arm. For #2, you can finish with a right cross. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
