Welcome to our new series featuring calisthenics expert Al Kavaldo. This week, Al demonstrates the single leg deadlift. This exercise will challenge your strength, flexibility, and balance. If you do enough reps it will test your endurance, too.


Here are three tips on how to perform the single leg deadlift well:


  • Make sure you don't round out your back
  • Think about bringing your opposite hand to your opposite toe
  • You should feel a deep stretch in your hamstring at the bottom
