Welcome to our new series featuring calisthenics expert Al Kavaldo. This week, Al demonstrates nine variations on standard bodyweight movements - each of them is performed on the fingertips. 


It is important you familiarize yourself with the basic underlying movements before attempting these advanced variations. Once you can perform the basics with good form, have a go at the following progressions:


  • Half fingertip plank
  • Half fingertip push up
  • Fingertip plank
  • Fingertip push up
  • Fingertip frog stand
  • Fingertip l-sit
  • Fingertip elbow lever
  • One-armed fingertip plank
  • One-armed fingertip push up


These exercises are excellent for strengthening your hands and fingers. Watch right to the end of the video for a bonus exercise!
