In this video, Ben Musholt demonstrates three handstand conditioning exercises that come from the world of gymnastics. Handstand conditioning is useful for improving balance, coordination, and core strength.The movements are:


  • Handstand kick ups - Done against the wall.
  • Cast wall walks - Done facing the wall in a handstand position, walking down into a plank, then walking back up.
  • Handstand wall runs - Done facing the wall, shifting weight to one side, then back over to the other side.


These exercises are labelled as handstand conditioning for a reason. As you'll see at the end of the video, they leave Ben quite short of breath! Let us know how you get on with them.
