This week I set a new 5-minute snatch PR. My job now is to gradually increase both quantitative and qualitative measures of progress from week to week.
With New Year’s in sight and competitions looming, I’m starting to bear down on my workouts a bit more after a few weeks of abbreviated and low-effort sessions.
I finished off the year with some heavy 665lb speed squats and my last week training at our old gym location before we move to our new facilities. A good way to wrap up the year!
I missed Monday’s work due to some offsite training for work. So no bench press for the week. I went straight into squats on Wednesday for a short workout.
Due to life getting in the way this week, it ended up being an unplanned deload week of sorts. Despite this, I did manage good results in the squat and bench.
Good solid week this week, with good results in the low bar squat, deadlift, and tactical pull ups. Today I'll discuss how I determine my objectives each week.
Despite spending half the week cramped up in little aircrafts, I was able to get most of my training in. On Thursday I did some SSB work and am still feeling the burn almost a week later.
In addition to my powerlifting schedule, I’ve decided to compete in Strong First’s Tactical Strength Challenge on April 12th, so I've added a few things to my training.
Some weeks you just have to make the training brief, and this was one of those times. It was a light week due to work and travel, but I'll be back full swing next week.
A very solid week of training with heavy bar speed work mixed with some heavy volume work. I was also able to put together a couple extra coaching videos for the week.
