Recently, I made the move back from the Olympic Training Center back to my home. It’s been wonderful to come home, but reverting back to the “real world” is going to be a challenge.
Currently my training is about recovering from getting the metal bar out of my wrist. It's hard to watch other people lift when I can't. Here's some video of my one-armed snatch, though!
Holley is back to keeping a journal here at Breaking Muscle! To start off, though, she's going to tell us about her wrist injury, how surgery went, and how she's training during the months of rehab.
Holley talks in detail about her Olympic experience and what it was like to attempt her lifts with painful, torn ligaments in her wrist. Just like Holley, though, she already is aiming for 2016.
Holley competed this past Sunday in London - she finished 10th, despite having torn ligaments in her wrist two days prior to leaving for London. Holley's now having a blast at the events!
