I have a short break from school, and I'm taking the time to up my intensity and have fun with my training.
I had high expectations going into my match on Saturday, but it didn't go as I had planned.
This was a lighter training week due to school, sickness, and preparation for the Boston Open next weekend.
Spring break came to a close this week, and I wasn't ready. Fortunately, my training helped me get through it.
My first tournament of the year didn't go quite as well as I had hoped. But I still enjoyed it and am happy that competition season is in full swing!
This was a week of ups and downs, but stepping back now, I realize the little negative things that happened were nothing in light of all the good things going on in my life.
As tournament time approaches, I've been training hard and learning some freestyle judo tehcniques to prepare for the big day.
This was a crazy week, but a good one as far as training goes. I'm working on my lower body submissions to prepare for the upcoming tournament.
This week we received some updates about what will be allowed at the upcoming tournament. I'm also enjoying the strength and conditioning I've added to my training.
This week was packed full of fun BJJ stuff. I did a lot of coaching, learned several new techniques, and helped one of our teammates at a tournament.
School is back in session starting this week, and it's going to be a challenge trying to balance classes, training, and coaching. I'm trying to stay positive while I figure out how to manage it all!
Despite my injured knee, I slowly eased back into training this week, and am looking forward to competing in a tournament on February 8th.
