This week I switched up my normal training routine a bit to accommodate my work schedule, with good results.
My work schedule is getting heavy, so I have to pick and choose my workout scheme carefully to make sure I maintain quality.
Despite a few days off, my training went well this week, with some progress in my back squat and front squat. My overall fitness also seems to be improving.
The heavy snow has made it harder to maintain my momentum during the current phase, but I finished out the final two weeks in spite of all the snow shoveling.
Between two rest days this week and a rough snatch workout, I wasn't at 100 percent. Fortunately a good front squat session on Sunday saved my training week.
I woke up on Thursday morning with a swollen knee, so I was cautious with my workouts for the second part of the week to avoid aggravating the problem.
This week was a much-needed rest week after the competition last week and busy days training and coaching at the gym.
This week was my first competition, so I changed my schedule around a bit to prepare for it. The event went well and gave me a good idea of where I need to go in my training.
This was week two of phase three. I trained for six days of the week and my legs were fried by the end, but hopefully it will all be worth it after my upcoming meet.
Despite ongoing home renovations and taking more rest days than usual, I still managed to get in some great training with lower volume this week.
This week was all about knowing my limits and when to take a break. I took a few rest days but was better off because of it, and I saw significant improvements on my training days.
Week two of phase two was a success. The chubby guy in the mirror is fading away, I’m starting to see abs again, and although my nutrition isn't quite perfect, I'm getting there.
