DaKari Williams is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, Massage Therapist, Chiropractic Assistant, and a CrossFit Level 1 certified trainer. He is a graduate of Ann Arundel Community College and Carroll Community College.

 

At the 2015 Arnold Sports Fest, DaKari was a finalist and third-place winner of America's Next Great Trainer challenge, which brought together leading personal trainers from across the country. DaKari also serves as the massage therapist for an NPGL team, the DC Brawlers.

 

During his years as head trainer and owner of FIT Labs, DaKari has trained athletes from age seven to 72, helping them all to find their full potential. His training emphasizes functionality and increased mobility for everyday tasks. His background as a physical therapy assistant informs his training style and fuels his passion for helping people to reach their goals without injury or strain. DaKari has also compiled a manual for trainers, The Maven Protocol, which can help any coach or trainer better understand anatomy and functionality to assist their clients.

 

At FIT Labs, his trainers offer a variety of classes, such as boot camp-style classes from the Maryland gym 368 Athletics, parkour training from Adventure Parkour Academy, and obstacle course training in collaboration with Titin Tough. He is currently hosting a local reality show in Hagerstown, Maryland, the Lose-It! Hagerstown Challenge, which is helping a variety of local residents to lose weight and pursue healthier lifestyles.

 

Regarding accomplishments while competing in several sports, DaKari was the 2014 Maryland State Championships IKLF (International Kettlebell Lifting Federation) and first place 2014 World Qualifier American Kettlebell Alliance. In both organizations, DaKari competed in the 73kg division.

 

DaKari currently resides in Martinsburg, West Virginia, where he is a teacher at both Valley College and Blue Ridge Community and Technical Center. He teaches various subjects, including anatomy and physiology and continuing education courses for physical therapy and occupational therapy.
