This week watch the world record-setting lifts of Stan Efferding. You might think bodybuilding and powerlifting have little in common, but Efferding has successfully competed at both for a number of years. He earned his IFBB Pro Card in 2009 at the Masters Nationals Bodybuilding Championships, competing at 259lbs. Even more impressively, Efferding is curently the number one ranked raw powerlifter in the United States.

This video is from a recent event that took place on March 24, 2013. At this meet Efferding set a new raw record in the 275-pound-class - lifting a total of 2,303lbs. For those of you unfamiliar with powerlifting meets, that's the total of his best squat, best bench, and best deadlift. His 2,303 raw record was set with an 865.2 squat, a 600.7 bench press, and an 837.5 deadlift. Just watch this video to see it for real.
