Meet James Tatum. For those who have not met him before, James is a 77kg American weightlifter. He started in weightlifting by taking a course at his local CrossFit gym. That was only in 2011. In 2012, he joined Team MDUSA to train under Glenn Pendlay, and since then has posted excellent results in national and international competitions, notably winning the American Open in 2012 and 2013.


Take a look at this video to see just how strong James is. Even a clean and jerk of 161kg is more than double his bodyweight. But exactly how many squats does James do before he decides to jerk it? And does he make the jerk? You'll have to watch the video to find out.
