  1. Approach a vertical pole.
  2. Grasp it tightly with one hand.
  3. Reach the other arm behind your back.
  4. Grab the pole just outside your hip.
  5. Squeeze everything you've got.
  6. Lean back, leveraging your bodyweight off your arm.
