This lift variant is especially help for those lifters learning the proper snatch pulling technique from the floor, which is the most difficult portion of the lift to master. Halting movements not only strengthen various phases, but also break the movement up into more learnable “chunks.” In this movement, the athlete halts at the power position to reinforce the feeling before continuing on with the power snatch.
