Welcome to the Friday Flicks! Every Friday we kick off your weekend with a fun, fitness-related video you've never seen before. If you've missed previous weeks, you can catch up on them HERE!

The world of strongmen goes back centuries. As Terry Todd from the Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sports explains in the video, "This business of lifting weights is not something that started in the last fifteen or twenty years. It's an old, old activity." Those age-old activities are still very much alive today.

There is no doubt that strongmen of old were incredibly strong, in real world ways that many today try to emulate. And today, the sport of strongman attracts some of the strongest men in the world. These men now perform feats that would have been thought impossible many years ago. As Terry puts it, "Lifting a 600lb round stone off the ground? That's preposterous." Watch this video to be taken on a journey of strength from ancient times to modern day.
