Video: Mobility for the Start and Bottom in Olympic Weightlifting

In this video we highlight dorsiflexion. Good dorsiflexion means your knees can move over your toes allowing you to sit between your ankles – also known as a good start or bottom position.

If you can not get into good positions during the Olympic lifts, proper technique will be much more difficult to achieve. In this video we're highlighting dorsiflexion. In layman's terms, having good dorsiflexion means your knees can move over your toes allowing you to sit between your ankles. BOOM comfortable start position! Oh, and HELLO bottom position.

An impingement in mobility comes in many different forms. It could be from a history of twisted ankles, torn labrums, or a back issue. Are these permanent? Not all of them. If they were there would be far fewer "professional" athletes, as careers would be over after the first injury.
