Dr. Joel Seedman, PhD, CSCS, ACSM, USAW, FMS, obtained his doctoral degree in kinesiology from the University of Georgia (UGA) where he studied the neurophysiological mechanisms of resistance training as well as various factors relating to performance and health. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in exercise science from Indiana University.
With more than thirteen years of performance consulting, strength coaching, personal training, and nutritional counseling, Joel has worked with a wide variety of clientele. As the owner of Advanced Human Performance (AHP) in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Seedman has worked with professional athletes, bodybuilders, figure competitors, elderly individuals, and special populations. Dr. Seedman helps his clientele improve muscle function, performance, and movement mechanics via advanced neuromuscular re-education techniques.
Dr. Seedman has devoted years to researching and identifying the best and most effective training techniques for optimizing performance, fitness, and health. He continuously strives to find groundbreaking methods for enhancing performance, including cutting-edge research and discoveries made during his doctoral dissertation on eccentric isometrics. He also writes for various fitness magazines and websites and has been featured in Testosterone Magazine, Men’s Fitness, BodyBuilding.com, STACK, EliteFTS, Yahoo Health, among others.
