Athlete Journal, Entry 19: Rehab Week 2
I started the week still under the game plan of competing on the 22nd.
MONDAY
Bench press work was done using a judge calling all commands and pause.
Warmup
420×1 (planned opener)
Super easy and felt good for another 50lbs plus, but left it there as my planned opener. With the deload in training my left arm is starting to feel and operate great so I’m looking for that nice boost on meet day. I’m particularly looking forward to post-surgery when both elbows will be done and I can train like that again.
All assistance work was skipped.
TUESDAY-SUNDAY
Rehab work on adductor tear. The main belly of the adductor is pretty much clear at this point which is amazing. However the tie-in for the adductor, ham, glute is still all giving me issues. Between lessening the load and rehab hopefully the final bit of healing will take place. If I’m able to compete it will be a feat just in itself due to the type of injury/severity/timeframe I’m working with.
Again any coach, trainer, or health care professional should really look at the services offered by My Rehab Exercises. It’s an absolutely amazing service for the price. I forget about its value all the time as I use it to supplement my training I do as a coach, so instances like this really highlight for me how great it is.
