Athlete Journal, Entry 39 – How a Powerlifter Recovers From the Flu
Well, I started out the week with a 24-hour stomach flu on Sunday but recovered by Monday, with the exception of my weight. I’m continuing to lean out, but the strength decline with the weight loss has disappeared and I seem to be gaining some strength again.

I went for a 6th rep on the second set and tweaked my right leg in same spot as I did in early January. Felt a little tearing but walked away feeling pretty good, but I went ahead and took the rest of the workout easy.

This was my first time doing the kettlebell snatch. Technique has something to be desired and I need to learn pacing. However I really liked how they felt and how much they opened up my shoulders.
