Alexa Towersey has over 15 years experience in the health and fitness industry as a personal trainer, nutrition, and lifestyle coach. She started her career as a body double for top American fitness model Victoria Pratt, was part of the judging panel for the internationally acclaimed Body for Life competition. She has also worked with New Zealand’s world champion rugby team, the All-Blacks.
Alexa has qualified for the Ironman 70.3 World Champs and was named as one of the 5 Toughest Trainers in Asia during her seven-year stint in an MMA Gym in Hong Kong. She has completed the Advanced Programming Certification with the legendary Gym Jones, in addition to completing in-house training and study under industry leaders Charles Poliquin, Marv Marinovich, Gray Cook, and Martin Rooney. She is the female mentor for Coach Keegan’s Real Movement Project.
Alexa has extensive media experience as a television presenter and health and fitness expert, being featured on Bloomberg Asia, CNN International’s The Don Lemon Show, Channel 9's Weekend Today, and Asia's Supermodel Me on Diva Universal.
Since moving to Australia, Alexa has based herself out of Sydney’s 98 Riley Street developing her successful signature female transformation program, Creating Curves. This is aimed at teaching women the fundamentals of correct lifting, in order to educate and empower them in the weights room. In additional to one-on-one coaching, she runs one-day practical workshops throughout Australia. She has cultivated a loyal following garnering positive profile pieces in Fitness First magazine, Australian Harper's Bazaar, Women’s Health & Fitness and The Sunday Telegraph’s Body & Soul.
Alexa is renowned for her ability to cultivate a stellar work ethic in the people she trains. In her words: “There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a woman become empowered in the weights room and then watching how this changes her attitude towards the rest of her life."
