Brian has been practicing full time as a fitness instructor for nearly 10 years. His focus is enphasizing the importance of strength for fitness, to maintain a healthy and pain-free body, the psychology of goal attainment, and golf.
Brian obtained his Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in December 2007. He went on to obtain his Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 2011, desiring to understand better the behind-the-scenes component of an effective business. He has been certified as a Certified Exercise Physiologist since February 2008.
His coaching philosophy is centers around developing strength and he believes behavior change is the foundation of any successful fitness endeavor, so physical strength begets mental strength, and mental strength fuels behavior change. He got his first set of dumbbells at the age of 12 (which he still uses) to combat his weight and body fat fluctuations. Brian now seeks to teach and pass on what he has learned so that others can benefit from strengthening the body and mind (from effective strength training) that he has.
