Kim Bielak is the Founder of National Fitness Day in the US. After running her first half marathon in 2015, Kim was inspired to share the sense of growth and empowerment she experienced firsthand with others across the country.
Upon discovering that there wasn't one official day dedicated to fitness in the US at the time, she worked with like-minded people across the country to launch the very first celebration in 2017. In tandem she hosted a fundraiser called Class for a Cause to encourage people to sweat for a cause and raise money for Girls on the Run.
Currently, National Fitness Day has over 150 ambassadors in 19 states across the country. It is celebrated the first Saturday of May, and will once again will raise money for Girls on the Run in 2018.
Originally from Los Angeles, Kim graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Media Studies, and has over five years of experience in marketing and social media. She has become a leader on the topics of the body positivity, the positive benefits of fitness, body positivity, and self-care.
In her spare time, she is an avid yogi in New York City, and she will be receiving her yoga certification in the summer of 2018.
