Paige Sousawas born and raised in Modesto, California but now resides in San Jose. Paige currently works for Diablo CrossFit Moxie and The Club at Los Gatos doing personal training and coaching CrossFit. With a background in college basketball, Paige was introduced to strength training after her collegiate career. She began coaching immediately after her playing days were over, first a high school team and then two years of junior college basketball.
She was introduced to CrossFit after moving to San Jose to complete her Bachelor's degree in Professional and Technical Writing from San Jose State University. The biggest draw to CrossFit at the time was the exposure to the Olympic lifts. After a year of CrossFit training, Paige decided to focus solely on the Olympic lifts for one year and compete in the sport of weightlifting as a 69kg lifter. She then went back to training both CrossFit and weightlifting, which led her to pursue a CrossFit Level 1 certification in 2016. She began coaching at Diablo CrossFit Moxie in 2017, and has sincealso completed her USA Weightlifting Level 1, RKC, and CrossFit Level 2 Certifications to expand her strength and conditioning knowledge base. She continues to persue her education and development as a coach, and hasa strong desire to spread her fitness knowledge.
