Vid is a strength athlete, strength and nutrition coach, writer, and medical student at Newcastle University, UK. His interest in strength and conditioning first came during the process of losing more than 100 pounds and overcoming childhood obesity. After which he began training specifically for powerlifting, and coaching strength athletes of all kinds, from throwers to weightlifters. He’s extremely passionate about cutting through the plethora of misinformation present on the subjects of training and nutrition, and providing people with accurate, evidence-based, and actionable information.
Vid is currently an online strength and nutrition coach at Bootstrap Barbell. He is a huge lover of all things canine, and suffers from a wonderfully rewarding addiction to coffee, baked goods, and Neil Gaiman novels.
