Triathlon Workout: Cycle 5 – Week 2

This programming has been designed for the beginner to train for a sprint distance triathlon; however, anyone can use it.

Week 2

Survived week one and ready for more? It’s normal to question your training at times. Am I doing enough training? Do I need to do more? Am I working hard enough?

Yes you are doing enough and adding more will not get you the results you need. You can do too much and over train which results in injury and sickness. But more on the subject of overtraining in another week.

About Mischele Stevens

Mischele has been helping all levels of athletes fulfill their dreams of completing a triathlon for the past 15 years. A former Ironman athlete, Mischele has coached athletes to the World Championship level at both the 70.3 and full Ironman distance, as well as coaching at the Provincial Triathlon Training Center. Twelve years ago she developed, and still coaches, a community based training program that has seen several hundred people complete a triathlon. Mischele was a race coordinator for the local triathlon race, helped create two local tri clubs, and is a published freelance writer on the subject of triathlon training. Through continuing education and constant research, she always provides the best training for her athletes to make them stronger and, of course, faster.
