Despite a sinus infection and a missed session due to fatigue, I ended the year with several new PRs on my bench press.
This week I backed off on my squat and deadlift, but had some fun throwing in some other lifts for a change of pace. Also hit a lifetime PR on my dumbbell bench press.
I'm preparing to back off a bit next week and work on my Olympic lifts. In the meantime, I hit some big numbers this week, including 465 on the deadlift and 365 on my squat.
This was a productive training week. My squat is getting deeper and I'm feeling fresh as a daisy thanks to some dietary changes I've made.
I worked on getting my squat a little deeper this week. I also blew my bench press PR out of the water!

I got in some solid training this week, and noted improvement in several areas - the barbell hip thrusts were heavier this week, and a great bench press session on Thursday as well.
I noted improvement in several areas this week, including military presses and hip thrusts. Looking good on my squat and deadlift, with some heavy kettlebell swings and goblet squats in the mix.
My performance at Worlds earned me a first place spot! It also showed me that I have a lot to work on in coming months, as I prepare for my next competition in April.
Tapering things down a bit this week as I prepare for Worlds, but I still managed to get in a solid week of training and also coach a weightlifting clinic.
Had a solid week, with a heavy squat session and my first time swinging with 125 pounds. With just two weeks until Worlds, things are looking good.
Other than lifting barefoot, I kept things simple this week. When you’re close to a meet, there isn’t a lot you can do to improve your fitness, but there IS a lot you can do to screw things up.
